Walk with us

There are five possibilities to join 'Walk for Homs' and it is possible to attend the special service on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 and Sunday, April 10, 2022 in memory of Frans van der Lugt and to reflect on all the people in Syria who desperately need our help.

1. The pilgrimage (2022)

In six days from 5 to 10 April 2022, I will walk with 84 other people from Amsterdam to 's-Hertogenbosch in the Nederlands, a pilgrimage of 155,5 kilometers. To reflect on the death and 84th birthday of Frans as well as all the people in Syria who desperately need our help.

2. Join the first stage (2022)

On Tuesday April 5, 2022, it is possible to join the first stage of the pilgrimage. After the special service in the Obrechtkerk (church) in Amsterdam, in memory of Frans and to reflect on the people in Syria, we will start the first stage towards De Hoef.

3. Join the last stage (2022)

On Sunday April 10, 2022, it is possible to join us on the last stage of the pilgrimage. We will start at 10 am from Heusden to arrive around 4 pm at the Sint Jans Cathedral in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. There we will be welcomed by the Bishop of 's-Hertogenbosch. He will dedicate the special service in memory of Frans and to reflect on all the people in Syria who desperately need our help.

4. Walk along the first and last stage (2022)

On Tuesday 5 April 2022 it is possible to join the first stage and the ast stage on Sunday 10 April of the pilgrimage. After the special service in the Obrechtkerk in Amsterdam, in memory of Frans and to reflect on the people in Syria, we will start the first leg towards De Hoef around 10:00 am. Once arrived in De Hoef it is time to say goodbye to the pilgrims. On Sunday 10 April at 09:00 am you will join us again in Heusden to join us on the last leg towards 's-Hertogenbosch where we will be welcomed by Bishop De Korte.
