We want to keep our memories to father Frans alive and continue his mission by spreading and living his message of living together peacefully. By creating lived experiences together, people from different backgrounds can get close to each other and notice that we are all human beings, longing for peace and joy. We suppose that this walk will contribute to this aim. Moreover, we are happy to get the chance to help funding humanitarian projects in Syria. Some of us have been born and raised in Homs, where father Frans lived and worked and inspired us in our youth.
The name of our team refers to the hiking group Frans Hike, which organizes multi-day hikes that many of us join regularly.
